Back in 2013, we started hand making the flash drives we give to our couples. I wanted something really unique and fitting to our brand, and these tree branch flash drives are just that. I thought it might be cool to show the process on how we make them!
Each branch is hand picked by Wes & I from the woods behind our home. We use a drawknife to remove the bark. After that, we take it to the workshop and cut the branch to size, sand it, & prep it to be milled out with the vertical milling machine. Once it’s milled out, we spray it with varnish to keep it looking nice, fit the USB drive into the twig, & glue it in with epoxy. We love going through all of the steps to create something beautiful for our clients.
